A 14-CARAT gold watch presented to baseball legend Babe Ruth for helping the Yankees win the 1923 World Series has sold at auction in Manhattan for $717,000.

Cops busted Earl Dennison Woods Jr., 58, on charges of using an electronic device to terrify, intimidate, threaten or harass others after he allegedly called his Phoenix workplace, the Department of Economic Security, to say he had a bomb and was going to blow it up. AN investigation has been launched into the New York State Athletic Commission’s handling of a bruising boxing bout that left a Russian boxer with brain damage.
