Hanks and Spielberg team up for a fourth time

Hollywood pals Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are to reunite in the movies for a FOURTH time.

The Oscar-winning pair – who worked together on movies like “Saving Private Ryan” (1998) and “Catch Me If You Can” (2002) – are teaming up for a so far untitled Cold War thriller.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film’s screenplay by Matt Charman centres on the real-life story of James Donovan, the lawyer who negotiated the release of U2 pilot Gary Powers, whose plane was shot down over Russia. Hanks will play Donovan.

As well as working together in films, Spielberg and Hanks have also co-produced the critically acclaimed WWII-set HBO mini-series “The Pacific” and “Band of Brothers.”

Off the screen, they are longtime friends whose families have holidayed together.
