Woman driver “flips” out

A learner woman driver flipped over her car in New York, sending her and her unlucky instructor to the hospital

The 41-year-old woman was turning from Fifth Ave. onto East 129th Street in Harlem at about 11:30 a.m., when she lost control of the grey Toyota Camry and struck several parked cars. The car flipped onto its side and skidded into nearby scaffolding, cops said.

Rescuers had to extract the woman and her 55-year-old teacher, who works at Jose’s Driving School in Harlem, from the wreck.

Both were taken to Harlem Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, officials said. No charges were filed.
