Hungry thief helps himself to two burgers …and restaurant takings

A MAN ordered a hamburger at Burger King …then came back minutes later and robbed the place.

Five minutes after his first purchase from the Long Island branch, the crook returned wearing a mask and ordered another burger – before calmly grabbing cash from a register and making a clean getaway.

Nassau County Police say the bizarre heist occurred Sunday about 4:55 p.m. at the fast food joint on Long Beach Road in Oceanside.

Cops said the hungry suspect ordered the second burger and then waited until the cashier opened the register before he walked behind the counter and grabbed a handful of loot.

He then strolled from the store and drove off down in a black Honda with tape covering New York State license plates.

Four workers but no customers were in the store at the time, and none was hurt.
