Jonathan Lancaster with beloved pet Hoover
A MAN who says his beloved pooch was dog-napped has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court demanding the pet be returned.
Jonathan Lancaster, 45, a manager at Enduro Resource Partners, an oil and gas consortium, is suing Samantha Addy, a media producer, to get back a border collie mixed-breed named Hoover Lancaster, court papers show.
According to the documents, Lancaster, who at one time had a “relationship” with Addy, bought Hoover in November 2009.
A year later, he and Addy agreed to share custody of the adorable black dog, shuttling him between each other’s home every two weeks.
Lancaster claims in his lawsuit that he and Addy had a verbal agreement to keep Hoover in New York — and if one of them moved out of state, they were to have forfeited their right to care for the canine.
But over the summer, while Lancaster was out of town on a trip, Addy moved to San Francisco, and took Hoover with her, Lancaster’s suit charges.
