Amanda Acevedo, 17, from the Bronx, says in court papers that New York’s Preston High School took exception to her bringing another girl as a date to a school dance.

The school then allegedly embarked on a two-year campaign of discrimination that culminated in her expulsion in September.

The school has refused to comment.
