The ever-modest Janice Dickinson

FIRST she declared herself the “world’s first supermodel” – now Janice Dickinson thinks she is a hero for chasing down a bag snatcher.

The uber-modest Janice claims she gave chase to a man suspected of snatching a bag from a male go-go dancer.

According to TMZ, the episode begun around 5:30 AM outside the famous Abbey nightclub in West Hollywood – when one of the go-go dancers, Sean Goodman, was doing a live TV interview with a local news reporter.

During the interview, the reporter announced that she had seen someone steal Goodman’s bag off the sidewalk and that cops were chasing after the suspect.

Enter Janice  who says she saw the chase, and decided to drive after the suspect in her car. Eventually, JD says she caught up to the thief, cornered him in an alley and kept him there till the police arrived.

Police said the man was arrested but did not mention anything about Dickinson’s alleged heroics.

Goodman though said: “Big thank you to Janice Dickinson for helping out and being on the scene!”

As for Janice, she couldn’t have been more humble, declaring: “I’m a hero.”
