Subway scandal hits America

Fast food chain Subway are proud of their tasty foot-long sandwiches – but the New York Post reveals the famous sarnies are really only 11 inches nowadays.

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the Post reckons the size of some cold cuts has been reduced by 25 percent. The Post calculates that if you eat a $7 Subway sandwich every day, by year’s end you’ll end up being ripped off to the tune of about $100 – a situation that warrants a “knuckle sandwich”  for franchise owners.

“They’re cheating us!” said 32-year-old Juan Rivera, who runs a hardware shop in Brooklyn Heights.

He eats Subway every other day with his father — but now he feels betrayed.

“That’s foul and misleading. They state it’s a foot long, so it should be a foot long!”
